Some of you have asked…and yes, we are still trying to eat healthy foods, though our short trip to the States for a funeral last week has offered a few temptations we weren’t able to refuse! And now I find myself needing to repost this old family-favorite recipe to correct some technical problems with it on my site…

A friend wrote today saying they, too, are trying to eat healthy foods, less desserts, etc…and I certainly don’t want to be the cause of your stumbling if you have been sticking to your New Year’s Resolutions! So let me offer several suggestions to help satisfy your sweet tooth:

  • Pitted dates with a little peanut butter tucked inside
  • A dried fig or two cut in half horizontally and sandwiched around a walnut half
  • Greek yogurt drizzled with honey and sprinkled with almonds
  •  A small square of dark chocolate
  • A crisp apple cut into think slices

Otherwise, make a batch of these and enjoy one for me!
